Platform Secretary-General - Oil & Gas
We are a Platform of international energy companies, independent experts and academic world professionals focused on the efficient exploration and production of oil and gas resources.
Under the direction and supervision of the Board of Directors, we are looking for a talented individual responsible for being the face of the Platform in Spain.
As a Spokesperson;
You will be in charge of developing and implementing public relations, communications and community relations strategies;
You will participate in debates, conferences, media interviews and presentations: writing and/or supervising articles;
You will establish and maintain positive working relationships with government officials, media representatives, universities, technicians and other stakeholders.
Required education
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Engineering, Geology, Chemistry or similar technical knowledge, or wide experience in Communications / Public Relations related to energy affairs.
Skills / Competences
- Excellent oral / written communication
- Broad knowledge of energy related affairs (specially oil & gas business)
- Team player - good interpersonal relationships
- Self-motivator - strategic planning, organization and facilitation
- Social perceptiveness - being aware of and understanding other's views
- Diplomacy, Strength and Determination.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in energy sector or public/media relations
- Direct experience dealing with anti-interest groups would be an asset
- Understanding of the petroleum business would be an asset
