Position title: Global Purchasing Refractories Buyer
Job Description
Roles et responsibilities
- Manage negotiations and Key Account to a given set of suppliers -including supplier management-. Analyze and develop the portfolio, develop suppliers and internal stakeholders’ strategy.
- Lead & coordinate negotiations (conduct meetings, analyze offers prepare comparison documents, documentation of negotiations in minutes, prepare EONs (End of Negotiation report), and contract management.
- Management of a specific set internal stakeholders (ArcelorMittal FCE clusters) dealing with all Refractory related topics with Refractory users, and specific geography where ArcelorMittal is present.
- Continuous decrease of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) in its portfolio of internal and external stakeholders.
- Work successfully with end users and Lead User in order to homologate new products and suppliers, implement cost reduction programs, extend the supply base and eliminate monopolies/oligopolies.
- For the assigned portfolio managing technical and commercial database for refractories (collecting and analyzing data, optimize capture and updating of data).
Transversal activities: in addition to the commercial portfolio of external suppliers and ArcelorMittal plants (that will be sized following the strategic sourcing experience of the candidate), the successful candidate will support the Subcategory Head with the transversal activities of the team:
- Prepare Business Plan.
- Updates of MRF.
- Update of Raw Material and Energy Index.
Reporting on KPI’s
- Performance of plants against budget
- Development of captive sources
- Development of low cost/price alternatives
- Improvement of contracts
- Achieved savings
IT tools - use of Microsoft Excel, contract management and SAP systems.
Profile
Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or Business. Majors in materials science, metallurgy or ceramics or financial certifications are a plus but not necessary.
Other profiles can be considered but it is essential to have good numeracy skills.
English /business proficiency. Other languages as a plus.
cultural sensitivity are a “must have”, due to the international perimeter.
