The Energy Engineering (B. Eng.) consists of:
- 4 years
- 240 ECTS credits, according to the current curriculum at the UPM (Plan 2010).
- The student must complete a total of 240 credits to finish the degree, which are divided into basic and obligatory, and optional subjects.
- Teaching is face-to-face.
- The main language of teaching is Spanish.
This degree consists of two common years, taught in the E.T.S.I. de Minas y Energía and then one of two separate specialties are chosen in the third year:
- Energy Management and Exploitation, taught in the E.T.S.I. de Minas y Energía
(or)
- Energy Technologies, taught in the E.T.S.I. Industriales.
All graduates of this unregulated degree require training supplements for access to the ‘Máster Universitario en Ingeniería de Minas’ (Master’s in Mining Engineering) established in section 4.2.1. Order CIN/310/2009 which sets out the verification requirements for official university degrees that enable the practice of the profession of Mining Engineering.
