The ‘Corrosion, Numerical Simulation and Environment Center’ of the ‘Fundación Gómez Pardo’ was borne out of a demand for training from various sectors of the Society, Industry, and Universities, it came from the ‘Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Minas y Energía de Madrid’ (ETSIME) on issues related to the behavior of materials in service and numerical simulation in both industrial processes and natural phenomena, and their relation with the Environment.
A team of ETSIME teachers, together with the company ‘Construcción, Corrosión y Medio Ambiente’ (CMA) took the step of creating a specific Center within the ‘Fundación Gómez Pardo’, to meet the above needs.
The training provided is based on different aspects related to continuous training, availability, and level of study.
The process is based on:
- Seminars for those who wish to start on a topic or increase their level of knowledge or training in it. These will be developed through lecturers, followed by a colloquium and/or roundtable with attendees on issues related to the subject.
- Interactive training workshops with theoretical and practical content, to form a wholistic learning experience.
- Face-to-face training courses with theoretical-practical content in the different training areas of the center.
- Semi-presential continuous development training courses in which a part of it is developed in person, and the rest at a distance, through the ICT platform.
- Distance training courses on the different knowledge areas. The duration will differ according to the contents of the teaching project.
