The access profile recommended is to have completed the Master in Research, Modelling and Risk Analysis and in the Environment, origin of this doctoral program. It is also considered appropriate to have completed another Master's Degree in Science or Applications and / or branches of Engineering.
The doctoral program is also designed for Spanish students graduated with Master level in engineering schools with links to Earth Science (Mining, Civil, Forestry, Agricultural) and graduates of the faculties that also have links with the Earth Sciences (Geological, Chemical, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, etc. ...). In these cases, the required capabilities and prior knowledge, including foreign language skills are reflected in Program.
For foreign students, the recommended entry profile is restricted to students who hold MSc degree (or equivalent) in the following scientific and technical disciplines (Mining engineering, Geological engineering, Civil engineering, Chemical engineering, Agricultural engineering, Forestry engineering, Metallurgical engineering, Petroleum engineering, Chemistry, Geology, Environmental science & technology, Biology, etc ...).
In order to be admitted to the program, candidates are required to propose a supervisor from list professors of the program, presenting the form with his/her acceptance, as well as a topic for the thesis. If a candidate is considering having a Doctor not on the programme list to co-supervise the thesis, a professor from the programme list must agree to co-supervise the thesis.
