Museo Histórico-Minero Don Felipe de Borbón y Grecia
Welcome to the webpage for the ‘Museo Histórico-Minero Don Felipe de Borbón y Grecia’, located in the ‘Escuela Superior de Ingenieros de Minas y Energía’ (ETSIME) in Madrid.
It is a museum with a marked university character, open to all audiences, with a wide collection of minerals from all over the world, classified according to their composition and origin.
In addition to minerals, the museum also has collections dedicated to archaeological finds from different eras, and collections of fossils, bear skulls, mining lamps, theodolites, trilobites, gems, replicas and the ‘Alajardín’ mineral collection.
In the different sections of this website you can see photographs of the different rooms and showcases at the museum, access information on the pieces exhibited, and since last year we have also added a catalogue of the minerals on display, providing valuable information for mineralogists from all over the world.
